Before The Royal Med Spa opened in Nebraska City last year, I didn’t give much thought to my skin care routine…meaning I didn’t have one. When the occasion demanded I wear makeup, I would fumble through it. That all changed after meeting the family that is The Royal Med Spa. Linda, Misty, Brandi, Adrian, and Lacey have helped me realize how important it is to take care of myself inside and out.
My skin care routine remains fairly simple. I don’t put on a full face of makeup every morning. However, for the first time in my life, I’m using cleanser and moisturizer on a daily basis. I’m also making sure my skin stays healthy by getting regular facials. All of that has really helped control dermatitis and acne issues that I can’t believe I still have as a 46-year-old!
This summer, Linda asked me if I would be her model for a makeup tutorial class she was hosting at The Royal Med Spa. I was nervous; my makeup skills fall somewhere between making me look like a corpse or a prostitute. I learned so much at that class – what a waterline is, how to contour, what colors to use. I still rarely wear makeup, though, so when the Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce Banquet was coming up, I asked Linda for some help.
